Without Critical Agility, your sin is just another explodable target. Critical agility will set you free.
Get NF, it will be good for you.

About Shadowform, I guess you can still be afected by Area of effet hexes, if the target ally is close to you.
For pve, use quick reload combos:
Daggers : 12+1+1
Crit: 12+1
jagged strike
wild strike
critical strike
golden phenix strike
death blossom
critical defense
Dash
Resurrection signet
Your defense is your positionning, learn when to turn around and run.

One thing I found that helped my survivability is to do the quest "Assisting the Guards" if you haven't yet. The boss in there has the lovely lovely lovely elite "Flashing Blades". Of course, I'm still meat to a caster (any bloody caster >.>), but it helps against those hateful afflicted rangers...
YMMV.

Ditto to what Utaku said. Critical Agility was a very nice adition, but most good sins don't rely on "tanking" skills. Learn to run. You are a sin. If you get in, deliver your kill, and get out fast, you won't have to worry about being meat to a caster. Besides, they should be one of your first targets. Make them your meat.
And Flashing Blades? Nice to have while you learn how to be a sin. Just don't let it make you think you are a warrior. Assassin's promise teaches you the value of timing and speed in a kill. The "lovely-lovely-lovely-LOVELY" elite is Moebius Strike. After you get that, you will need nothing else.

One of the quickest ways to get your sin up to speed may be to make a PvP sin then unlock moebius strike or assassin's promise ( I used assassin 's promise for a very long time for the energy gain). You can then purchase an elite sin tome for ~ 5-10k. As for what you have for skill's now...
-Jagged strike
-Wild Strike
-Twisting Fangs
-Death Bloosom....when you start combo over if target isn't dead use while Twisting fangs is recharging
-Dash is a must for quick escapes
-Shadow Refuge for heal
-critical defense
-critical eye
max out your dagger mastery then your crit strikes, dump the rest in shadow arts.
I don't believe in bringing a rez on my sin. The rez should be on those that have room to fit one. At this early of a stage for your sin you should stay away from them since you need all the skills in your bar for survival and to make sure you do your job as a sin.
Another thing that I don't see many peeps doing in pug groups that I strongly believe in is that if you see your monk being attacked it is up to you to protect them!! As a sin, Dash is one of the quickest ways to get to your back line. The monk won't mind healing you if your trying to protect them and you will find yourself in the graces of a very important ally.
gl!!! hope to see you in game sometime!!

Thank you guys for replying to my thread. One thing I don't quite comprehend is when a sin goes in and does damage to his opponent, does he try to finish him off or once he done with his combo, then he back out? Since sin are hit and run, i didn't understand what one of the forum member meant.
You guys also mention the skill known as dash, which I don't see from the skill trainer. Is it a NF skill? I have dark escape would that be a good alternated?

oh, sorry must have overlooked that in your skill set. Here is where you get it
Zhao Di (Shing Jea Monastery) from the skill trainer. This is the link on Wiki as well http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Dash.
As far as going in and getting out that all depends on how much damage you are taking. You have to get a feel for knowing when to get out of a fight, that is the hardest part of bering a sin. Sometimes you'll be able to kill 3 targets before falling back sometimes it's best to throw up a few dp's on a target so the rest of the team can finish them off.

Dark Escape can be a nice alternative to Dash. Dash gives a bigger speed boost, but doesn't last as long as Dark Escape. Dark Escape's damage reduction can also make it better for when you're running away from monsters.
